PVcase and Anderson Optimization Announce Product Integration and Expansion to European Market

PVcase and Anderson Optimization have integrated their platforms to enable seamless export and import of detailed site boundaries, constraint maps, and terrain data, significantly improving efficiency, accuracy, and reducing data loss risks for solar developers during initial design phases, while also expanding their collaboration into the European market.

PVcase and Anderson Optimization (AO) have announced the integration of their products to significantly improve efficiency for solar developers. This integration streamlines the process from site selection to initial design phases and reduces data risk when transferring information between platforms.

The integration aims to save time, minimize repetitive processes, and enhance accuracy and terrain data adaptation for both AO and PVcase users. It addresses key challenges faced by solar developers, particularly the complexity and time-consuming nature of configuring site files for design platforms due to differing requirements for file labeling and structuring. These differences often complicate data exchange between developers and site analysts.

A major issue in the industry is the risk of data loss when moving site data between platforms, which can increase project soft costs. Many site design platforms lack comprehensive and easily accessible site data, leading to potentially inaccurate initial designs.

To address these challenges, PVcase and AO have launched a custom PVcase-formatted export within the AO platform. This feature allows users to export site boundaries, constraint maps, and terrain data from AO to PVcase with just a few clicks. Users can then import a site from AO into PVcase Ground Mount, where the file is automatically read within seconds. The imported file is enhanced with detailed topographical data available in PVcase Ground Mount, enabling users to create more accurate and robust initial designs from the start.

Guy Atherton, PVcase Product Manager, explains: "The integration allows the user of AO to export a file containing all their project details. This includes any areas that the user has identified in AO, for example, exclusion areas such as environmental zones and buildable areas where the PV can be placed. The Ground Mount user can import this file with the same level of detail available in their AutoCAD environment. It's great for data loss reduction as no important information is lost when transferring between tools."
