Educational Partnership
The PVcase Educational License program offers accredited educational institutions, including junior colleges, colleges, universities, and technical schools, free access to PVcase Ground Mount and Roof Mount software along with PVcase Academy resources for students, educators, and contractors, requiring applicants to submit a completed request form and official proof of enrollment or employment, while excluding non-accredited institutions, training centers, and most research labs.
Educational licenses: empowering future solar professionals
The PVcase Educational License program provides students and educators at qualified academic institutions with access to PVcase Ground Mount and/or PVcase Roof Mount software for the duration of their courses. Additionally, participants are granted access to the PVcase Academy to support their learning.
Who is eligible?
Eligible individuals include students, educators, or contractors enrolled in, employed by, or contracted by a qualified educational institution. Qualified institutions are those accredited by an authorized governmental agency and whose primary purpose is teaching enrolled students, including accredited higher education institutions.
Qualified educational institutions include:
- Junior colleges
- Colleges, universities, and technical schools
Organizations that do not qualify
The following organizations are not considered qualified educational institutions:
- Non-accredited educational institutions
- Training centers
- Research laboratories (exceptions may be made if research results will be published)
- Retraining programs
Requesting an educational license
To set up an educational license, applicants must provide basic information and complete the Educational & Research License request form. Written proof of current employment (for educators) or enrollment (for students) at the institution is also required.
For educators:
- 1.Complete the Educational & Research License request form.
- 2.Download the pvcase-educator-verification.docx and fill in the required details.
- 3.Have a senior faculty colleague or administrator sign the letter on the institution's letterhead. The letter can be copied into the institution’s letterhead or printed and scanned/photographed for uploading.
- 4.Send the completed document to education@pvcase.com.
For students:
- 1.Complete the Educational & Research License request form.
- 2.Download the pvcase-student-verification.docx and fill in the required details.
- 3.Have a professor or administrator sign the letter on university letterhead. The letter can be copied into the university letterhead or printed and scanned/photographed for uploading.
- 4.Send the completed document to education@pvcase.com.
Research licenses: advancing solar energy innovation
Research partnerships provide the academic community with access to the latest solar design and modeling tools used in the industry. Researchers at accredited academic institutions can access PVcase Ground Mount, PVcase Roof Mount, and PVcase Yield, depending on project needs. Access to the PVcase Academy and eLearning courses is also provided for the duration of the project.
